MICHELLE OBAMA'S 'SECRET MISSION' IN SALT LAKE CITY REVEALED

Former First Lady Michelle Obama went on another 'secret mission' yesterday, this time in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Obama stopped by King's English Bookshop yesterday to pick up a copy of her 2022 book The Light We Carry - a New York Times and USA Today Bestseller.

The author walked into the store wearing a dark hat that looked like the item she wore during her Missouri Target store adventure.

This time, she wore a matching black jacket and sunglasses in her Instagram video, hoping that no one would recognize her.

Her disguise did not work, as customers began to take pictures and record videos right after she finished autographing some of her 2022 books.

Obama's disguise may not have mattered, especially since the store's co-owner Anne Holman already knew she was coming.

According to The Salt Lake Tribune, Holman found out that Obama would be visiting the store a week before she came due to security preparations.

'When she actually gets there, it’s really happening, it’s just so cool because she’s Michelle Obama, but she’s also someone that you could really be friends with,' said Holman.

Obama did not tell viewers how she chose to enter this bookshelf, but she was excited to wear her 'trusty dusty disguise' and 'stunner shades.'

She began to sign copies of The Light We Carry almost immediately and praised another book called Our Hidden Conversations: What Americans Really Think About Race and Identity by Michele Norris.

Customers in the background were staring at her and whispering while she was looking through the book, but Obama didn't seem to notice.

She and the camerawoman also looked at clothing inside the bookstore, and the former First Lady found a framed photo of her husband, Barack Obama, hanging under a shelf.

She purchased more than one item from the bookstore, much to the happiness of its employees.

'I got some great reading for my upcoming trips, a beautiful robe - consider that a very successful adventure,' said Obama.

Obama's first mission took place in Saint Louis after she spoke at the National Council for Mental Wellbeing.

Walking into a Target, the acclaimed author signed copies of The Light We Carry while wearing a neon yellow sweatshirt and shades.

She then took a basket and bought a variety of items, including a t-shirt, and matching pajama set, and a pet toy.

The Target employee appeared to be very calm around Obama, but she seemed not to recognize her.

However, she complimented her hair as Obama was ready to walk away.

Obama's video King's English Bookshop flooded with comments after she posted it on Instagram, one comment being from the store itself.

'Thank you so much for visiting us! We are honored and so appreciate your incredible support of bookshops and literacy,' the bookshop commented.

Others have praised the bookshop itself and one person thanked Obama for visiting Salt Lake City.

'I love you... Best first lady ever in my opinion and you’re so fun and real and exciting and adventurous and kind and compassionate,' a Instagram user wrote.

A few Instagrammers wrote how excited they were to purchase the book, one person hoping to get their 'hands on a signed copy.'
